Flavourful, old style grain genever, boasting a nice balance between malt wine, juniper and seven other herbs, spices and fruits. Oude Rutte is incredibly soft, yet full of flavour. A touch of fruit and sweetness.

Malt Wine
Percentage malt wine: 40%. The minimal malt wine percentage must be 15%. At Rutte we use a lot more than that for a full grainy flavor.
Taste
Spicy, a light hint of fruitiness and a little sweet, creamy. Full grain flavour.
Did you know
The first old genever was distilled by Anton Rutte in the early 20th century. Old genever is not called old because it has been matured, but because of its style: like back in the day, with a generous amount of malt wine.
How to Drink
From a nosing & tasting glass, so you can let the genever swirl around and enjoy the scent before you take the first sip. Temperature: Many people like to drink the genever ice cold. That’s fine. However, you can taste an Old Rutte better if you drink it at room temperature. The choice is yours!
