Jonge Graanjenever
The first young grain genever was distilled just after the war. Rutte Jonge Graanjenever (Young Rutte) is unique and surprisingly flavourful due to its high malt wine content and six botanicals.
JAN RUTTE
6th GENERATION MASTER DISTILLER
Malt Wine
Percentage malt wine: 15%. This is the maximum percentage for a genever young style. That’s why a Young Rutte is the tastiest around.
Botanicals
Juniper, angelica, coriander, orris root.
Taste
Super soft, round, clear grain with fresh notes of herbs and fruit.
Did you know
Many young genevers have a neutral taste, resembling vodka. The Rutte family gave their own twist to Rutte Jonge Graanjenever, imparting it with the taste of grains and herbs, just like back in the day.
How to Drink
From a nosing & tasting glass, so you can let the genever swirl around and enjoy the scent before you take the first sip. Temperature: Many people like to drink the genever ice cold. That’s fine. However, you can taste a Young Rutte better if you drink it at room temperature. The choice is yours!
